G+_Marlon Thompson
Cool Features in Hello SMS Now this is the second week in a row that Ron Richards featured an app I first mentioned in this community (in fact all of last weeks arena picks except fitbit were apps I recommended here) so I think he is heeding my recommendations. But Hello SMS has been my default app for months. Two quick cool features that I noticed this week and I don't know if they were just implemented are; when you open up the app if there were any messages you didn't read you will see the icon for that message do a small bump. I love those kind of UI decisions that are subtle yet effective. Ron also mentioned how easy it is to send a picture message as its one click away but if you would like to send a caption framed photo like their logo when you open the app point your phone at what you want a picture of and hit the caption icon in the lower right corner and it immediately takes a picture and you can then choose who to send it out to. I know right now in the arena IFTTT is in the lead (by a lot) but honestly this is a fantastic messaging app and right now I am on Team RON. G+_Tom Gehrke
You're definitely one of my go-to resources for app (and now music) recommendations. ;) This week, however, I'm firmly in camp IFTTT. Though I do love me a good SMS app.
G+_Thomas Andre Molvig
Great app. Hopefully forward message will come soon. Copy and paste is hard work. Lol
G+_Christopher Sisk
Though I'm glad that developers are still making strides in this area.. it saddens me that people with smartphones are still using SMS. We all have a friend or three that are using flip phones, and for them, SMS is the only real option.. but for everyone else, why aren't you using a more robust IM solution? Hangouts, WhatsApp, FB Messenger, Kik, the list goes on ..
G+_Marlon Thompson
Christopher Sisk you answered your own question the people with the smart phones still have friends who use messaging also in many parts of the world messaging is still the most reliable option. I use a combination of communication apps to cater for all situations.?
G+_Christopher Sisk
Marlon Thompson I completely understand that.. but that wasn't my annoyance.. My issue is with smartphone users sending other smartphone users SMS .. I have lots of friends with Android and iPhones.. and they all insist on using SMS. If I have a friend with a flip phone, then I have no problem using SMS with them.. it's all they have.

G+_Robert Schertzer
I've been using Hello SMS since Ron Richards talked about it last week on All About Android and love it. Like you said, clean interface and not a resource hog like some other SMS apps.
