G+_Marlon Thompson
What I have been playing: XCOM Enemy Unknown Just over a year ago I got XCOM for the PC for free because I had preorded BioShock Infinite. I had never really hard about it but it made numerous best of 2012 lists and was even the game of the year on one website. I was also never a big fan of turn based combat games but I decided to give it a go and I was hooked. When it came over to android after debuting on iOS about 8 months ago I knew I had to check it out and I must report that this is the best port of a AAA game to mobile I have ever experienced. Some caveats though it's pricey at $10 (which I believe is an introductory price as it started at $20 on iOS ) but you get so much content as the campaign usually takes you over 20 hours to complete and it has a high replayability as you can tweak the settings or try different strategies. It is also built for top of the line devices and runs well on my nexus 5 and 7(2013) but appears to struggle with the earlier nexus and other flagship phones and tablets. It's also about 3.6 GB, which is mainly the various cutscenes and the high graphic textures. But it works so well on a touch screen and the larger the device the better because the font can get really small. If you were a fan of the game on the PC or console this is a no brainer you already bought it, for every one else check out the videos of it on YouTube. If they are able to add the additional content from the latest DLC that would be fantastic. And I hope this leads to more AAA titles on Android. I will do a follow up post of tips for the newcomer to the game. Now go out there and save the world. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tt2kgames.xcomeu
