So I installed the Amazon app store after over a year and a half of it not being on any of my devices, because there were a few apps on this list that I wanted to check out before I plunked down the money and I noticed some things;

- The Amazon app store has gotten really good, their are some features in the settings that I wish would come to the play store. Good on you Amazon. Amazon has in a very short time become a very real competitor.

- Gina Trapani app from a couple of weeks ago my permissions (people this is an extremely awesome app) alerted me that the Amazon app store could access my accounts. And i was like whatever, sure enough because I had the Kindle app installed on my device as soon as I opened the appstore I was signed in automatically. Very convenient and I am sure this was instituted months ago but this was the first time I experienced it.

Long story short . Amazon sale is on. App is much better now. Go get free apps.

I don't think it's worth it.  I had a very similar experience to one Jason Howell described months ago.  A few devices (2 phones, 1 tablet) with speed & battery problems.  Finally, after seeing it show up on battery & data use charts, I uninstalled it across the board.  Each device ran better after that.  Not improvement on the level of a new device, but clearly a performance hit was gone.  I'll gladly pay the devs to have one place to install from, update from, running on my Androids.  Plus I'm sure the devs are happy for me to pay them.
