G+_Jeth Rigoroso
Where can we legally fly (in the United States)? It seems there're many places we can't fly our craft. In Hawaii there's a general blanket law that doesn't allow RC craft in parks or beaches and public school grounds. Is is also that prohibited in other states? G+_Jeff Brand
I'm curious to know more about that law in Hawaii. Here's a map that was constructed hastily by the folks at MapBox almost a year ago. It's seen zero update despite numerous contributions to the Issues section, but I suppose it's better than nothing. https://www.mapbox.com/drone/no-fly/
G+_Jeth Rigoroso
Oh yeah and the general law of no flying near airports, and military installations, plenty of those here and it's a small island (Oahu). And there's an additional rule of not flying in sacred grounds, in respect for Hawaiian culture and tradition. There's practically no place here you can fly! G+_610GARAGE
You can fly in the country, no one to bother, and no one to bother you. :) Have you tried reaching out to any rcgroups in your area. Maybe they have some land, or a empty building that you are allowed to fly in. Or at least know where your can fly in your area. Option 2, water proof your quad, and rent a boat. :) May be a little impractical, but it would be neat.
G+_Ben Reese
Empty football/soccer fields are good. I took mine with me to the park a few days ago for a child's birthday party... There were lots of empty fields there to fly in.
G+_John Phillips
In Australia we have a national model aero association called MAAA that has a location finder for local RC Aero clubs, I would hope there is something similar for you over there? If not maybe someone should get it happening?
