G+_Dan Lueders
Iyaz...I loved the remote episode... I'm thinking about getting the Harmony. Now that you've had it for a while, are you happy with it?
G+_iyaz akhtar
Dan Lueders I really enjoy grabbing any tablet or phone as my remote. I still need to tweak it for other components, but I really like it!
G+_Cole Brodine
iyaz akhtar - Have you tried controlling a HTPC with it yet? I'm considering one, but I want to make sure it can control my MythTV box.
G+_iyaz akhtar
Cole Brodine I'm running into lots of issues with my HTPC these days, from EDID problems, to missing audio, and sometimes the IR receiver is wonky. So to answer your question, the new Harmony hasn't controlled the PC yet.
G+_Cole Brodine
Rats! I was really going you would tell me how great it was. I'm not sure if I can give up my MythTV box yet. I record too many shows over the air, and the auto commercial skipping is too good.
G+_Arunas Adomaitis
Cole Brodine I use Harmony 9000 with HTPC. Works great, but if you do anything like this take a look into Intelliremote software. Harmony programming can be a bit limiting, but in conjunction with intelliremote you can do crazy stuff. For example a you can program a soft button on harmony to resume HTPC from sleep, turn on stereo system and switch to right input, then Intelliremote launches winamp and makes it play a specific mp3 playlist or Internet radio. And all this with a single button press!
