G+_Frank Lopez
Hey Iyaz, new to the show, found you on youtube on This Old Nerd. Exactly the projects I'm in to. Just watched Episode 57 and I have a suggestion. IP Webcam is excellent. But you can also use IVideon with IP Webcam and totally bypass all the headaches you had with tiny webcam. Works on iOS and Android and Windows Phone is in the planning stage. Not only can view it from a browser but you can view it from your mobile devices and setup is easy. The only downside is you only get to camera for free. Keep it up!
G+_Steve C
Did you mean only 2 cameras? I doubt that most people have the bandwidth to support even 1 camera!
G+_Frank Lopez
I apologize for my terrible writing. Yes I meant only two cameras are free. Three or more will cost you 2.10 per camera on IVideon. My setup is one logitech webcam connected to my mac mini which is running the ivideon server. I have two retired androids running IP Webcam. I have those androids pointed to my iVideon Server. The first android works perfectly. I have yet to setup payment for my setup as I only got this running late last night. I will let you know if there is any bandwidth issues after testing this weekend.
G+_Frank Lopez
Hey steve c No bandwidth issues, everything working well. Not a fan of paying for the service, but its worth it. I do have a 24mbp pipe so I havent seen any issue. The montion alerts work great even at night. Very satisfied.
