G+_Greg M
Was wondering if anyone have any suggestions. Client is looking 2 live streaming camera that will be either chest mounted or shoulder mnt on a worker. Person works in a pig barn & needs to stream in real time the video from camera to a screen located approx 100' or so. I had thought of a GoPro5 but it seems some models of GoPro5 have a habit of shutting off on their own while doing live streaming. I watch a live stream on Youtube and they have one camera that is a GoPro and it regularly powers itself off on its own during a live stream. G+_James Scouten
Have you considered pairing a FPV system from the RC world with a rugged camera like the GoPro or similar?
G+_Greg M
Can you not simply access the live stream from a GoPro camera via a computer on the same network as the GoPro camera and see what the camera is seeing? Just wondering why a FPV would be more suitable than simply accessing the GoPro via a computer. Am I mistaken in my thinking about being able to direct access a GoPro live feed? G+_James Scouten
I've never done what you are talking about but I do watch a few YouTube channels where they have set up and discussed FPV gear. I seem to remember that some of those GoPro cameras can overheat and that may be causing the drop in the stream the FPV gear would just take the video output of the camera and have a dedicated transmitter/receiver and for short distances and especially with high gain antennas excellent range and quality. G+_Daniel Stagner
Why not use a cell phone. I am sure there is an app for that. And who dose not have a few old cell phones lining around.
G+_Greg M
Daniel Stagner Would need either a head mount or chest mount bracket since the person with the camera needs their hands free. The phone would also need to be able to stream the live video back to a computer so that people rought 100' could see the live video.
