G+_Travis Scharich
Hi I want to make a Arduino project and have it interact with the computer (which I know how to do). The thing I need to know is how to have the circuitry be powered by a battery while the computer is plugged into it. Is there a way to do this? G+_610GARAGE
Connect TX RX and ground. But don't connect VCC to the computer.

G+_Travis Hershberger
Is your project going to draw more power than a USB port can provide? (Only reason I could come up with to have a battery powered anything connected to a computer.)
