I recently purchased the Zeny 825D+ soldering station as discussed on this group

I recently purchased the Zeny 825D+ soldering station as discussed on this group. There are instructions to remove a screw on the bottom to avoid "serious problems". I took the case off and that screw appears to hold a filter of some kind in place on the hot air gun component.

 

Does anyone know why that screw is there at all? Seems like a strange thing to have to do for a new device. Do I need to replace it for transport?
