G+_Marlon Thompson
Microsoft just released a data collection app mimicking as an alarm app. Very clever. Before you use this app you have to agree to allow Microsoft permission to upload the info you provide using the app. What data you may ask ? Facial expressions, colours, spoken phrases. It may not seem like much but that is very valuable info if you think about it, especially to improve machine learning. But here is the issue it took me 4 tries to get a positive and stop the alarm. The first "find something blue" totally ignored the clearly blue object I showed it, say a tongue twister I took too long, "make an angry face, it said I looked more like I was disgusted (at least it got that one right because at this point I was. Finally I got some success with find something yellow . Testing continues.but interesting approach to harvesting data Microsoft Originally shared by Android Police This sounds alarmingly annoying. http://www.androidpolice.com/2016/01/21/never-too-early-for-a-smile-microsoft-garages-mimicker-alarm-makes-a-challenge-of-your-morning-wake-up-routine/
