My wife and I have been using the Rode Video Mic Go on our DSLRs for a few years now as part of vlogging and documentary film making. We are just moving into wedding cinematography now as well. We find the audio quality on them is pretty good. Certainly compared to using the built in microphones the difference is staggering and vastly improves the production value of your product. They Rode Video Mic Go is usually around £50, I just picked one up on the Amazon marketplace for £36 (it was cheaper there than eBay!) We also use the Rode SmartLav+ to mic up individual people too, so depending on what your recording, that might also be a good choice, again they are about £35-50 each.
