Need help! installed win10 and working fine for few weeks. Today I signed on and cannot click on any icons including the start menu. nothing works. No file manager nothing!!

Keyboard shortcuts work?  did the standard unplug/plug the mouse?

...and the standard reboot and boot into the Win10 safe mode equivalent.

 

I had similar situation in an old XP machine years ago. Every few boots, I would be staring at a blank desktop. Had to manually start the desktop. Try hitting win+R keys to get the Run Command box and type in the "explorer.exe". Hit Enter. (Explorer.exe is the desktop executable through Win8.1. Suspect that MS will stay consistent with Win10).
