G+_James Hughes
So I'm going to be teaching a beginning Maker class this summer. I'm looking for ideas for projects. I will be teaching three 1 1/2 hour classes four days a week for five weeks. Have to keep costs down but still want it to be fun. I'm thinking about having them start with a catapult from a mouse trap and want to finish up with something like the project on C101 from yesterday. Your input is appreciated. G+_Jason Marsh
A little more info will help the KH community to help you plan, so... 1) Who is the target audience? K-8, 9-12, 8yrs to 80? 2) Will this be one group meeting four times a week for five weeks, or four groups meeting weekly for five weeks, or one group per week for four days each? 3) Will each participant build their own object each session or week, or do you plan to have small groups working on the projects together? 4) Is there a particular area of focus, or will you have free reign to work anywhere between trebuchet and autonomous robot? Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ and some others here are in education; armed with answers to these questions they and others will likely have many excellent project ideas for you to choose from.
