G+_James Hughes
This is a keyboard that I built using an arduino pro micro. It works great but I would like to make it wireless. Here's my question; which is the best option, 8266, 2.4ghz, or 433mhz? If Bluetooth, is there an option for less than $20?
G+_Ben Reese
Depending on your skilz, you may be able to use 433Mhz with an existing wireless keyboard adapter. I know there's already a hack for some that works with Arduino...
G+_Robert Shaver
What do you want the keyboard to connect with? If it's a PC then the hardest part, at least for me, would be matching a driver for the OS you want to use. I wouldn't tackle writing a driver unless you've done it before or really want to learn how ... badly. :)
G+_Damien Wessling
I have no knowledge of how to achieve a solution in this instance but I would suggest avoiding the 2.4Gh/z where possible. The spectrum is already saturated with most of today's wireless devices, maybe a less utilised frequency would be preferable, especially when you're trying to troubleshoot issues. ? G+_Black Merc
Could there be a wireless kit that just passes the usb through the air? A wireless bridge for usb? A thought...
G+_James Hughes
I bought some of the 433mhz items in the link (on ebay for much less, just won't be here as fast) and would like to use them. If using a pro micro will it require one on each end? I like the pro micro because it looks like a keyboard to the computer. amazon.com - Amazon.com: Gowoops 5 Sets of 433Mhz RF Transmitter and Receiver Link Kit for Arduino (2pcs/set): Car Electronics
