G+_Miguel E Mejía
Greetings everyone, I've stumbled upon this article and would like to hear what other fellow Android users think about it; in the most unbiased way possible. Forbes Now: Microsoft Is The New Google, Google Is The Old Microsoft. http://google.com/newsstand/s/CBIw7v7ztSA http://google.com/newsstand/s/CBIw7v7ztSA
G+_Zulhaimi Abdul Hamid
One fundamental strategy that Google needs to reconsider is the deliberate sharing of work-in-progress projects to the public. While they helped build corporate reputation of an innovative company especially with shareholders, it can also erode trust if a project fails to deliver at promised time. Eg. Google Glass. On wearables, we still should wait and see if Apple watch will be more popular than android wear products. Wearables is still a new category in the market. All said and done, there is still time for Google to go back to basics. Change will need to be led from the top.
G+_TJ Evans
I don't thinks are quite as stark as this article presents, but there are accurate aspects ... I think the biggest thing to keep in mind is Google has always had a "Fail Fast" approach, and the latest batch of "moonshots" aren't (IMHO) an example of "dominant company losing focus", rather they are just continued examples of "let's see if this works" ... ?
