G+_Alex Hulinsky
What is a good computer benchmark? I remember you guys used one back when you were talking about SSDs and such but I can't remember what its called. I ordered a SSD for my laptop so I wanted to run a benchmark to see how big of a difference it makes.
G+_Oliver Jackson
Crystal disk mark? I have an SSD and I notice the difference easily, boot times application load times all much quicker. I would also like to know what the different metrics mean and how it impacts performance, random 4k for example what does that mean and what metric is most important when it comes to the benchmarks, perhaps different use cases have different needs. There are many different benchmarks however testing all manner of things. Are you talking just about storage performance? If not: graphics there is fire strike, unigine valley benchmark CPU: I think there is one called Cinebench.
G+_Eddie Foy
I just replaced a Cruical M550 1TB SSD with a spinner. SSD died. (gonna try for a RMA, but it will NOT be used for real stuff) I'm done with MLC SSDs. Just don't trust them.
