G+_Chuck Anderson
Well, I solved my earlier FC problem with my 250 build - got a KK mini for it instead. Hopefully I can figure out why the setup wasn't working with the Flip because I want to use it for a 450 frame I bought. Anyway, a minor issue I ran into for the 250.... I've got the FlySky transmitter, so I've got the receiver with an antenna I'm not quite sure how to "mount" it to the top plate. My first thought was to use hot glue to hold it in the hole, but is there something else that would be better and maybe look cleaner than a blob of glue? Yeah, I know I still need to put the screws in to attach the top plate. Just put it there temporarily to show my situation, still need to do some wiring cleanup and stuff before I do that. G+_Rob Yesta
Add a large tie strap and let the extra end point up. You can tie strap the antenna to the large tie strap. This will allow the antenna to fold down if it hits something but allow antenna to be pointed up.
G+_Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ
One thing... don't let the antenna touch anything metal. That can attenuate the signal... which is a bad thing. :)
G+_Chuck Anderson
Clever idea - that works pretty slick. Don't think I ever would have thought of that ;-) Thanks !!
G+_Jason Marsh
+1 for shrink tubing the antenna onto a large zip tie. I used this on my RC10GT and there wasn't a day that it didn't roll violently and tumble to a stop. The antenna always bounced back and even though I took it waaaay down the road chasing cabs I never had any reception issues.
