G+_Dan K Posted April 1, 2016 Share Posted April 1, 2016 i got a new asus router today and i saw it has AiProtection with Trend Micro is there any harm in activating this or is this a good to activate. of course i woud never use it as a single security soulution but as a small part of it. any thoughts?? G+_Eddie Foy Posted April 1, 2016 Share Posted April 1, 2016 AiProtection? Makes me do the marketing chuckle. A quick skim of its; looks ok, but some hype. Its not going to inspect any packets that are encrypted, unless its being used as a proxy and you add it's cert to your browser/OS. I can see over time the need to turn it off as its blocking sigs get outdated. I can see getting inundated with alert emails.
