G+_Hamza Abid
Podcasts? Not a huge surprise, but the death of Google Reader finally killed Listen for me. Even though I had subscribed within the app, it used the Reader as the back end. I have downloaded Beyond Pod to try. So far I am not a big fan of the interface (over complicated). Any other suggestions?

G+_Jeremy Haas
Stick with beyond pod. Set up auto downloads and a smart playlist. Then just put the widget on a home page and enjoy never having to open another podcast app again!
G+_Craig Lambert
BeyondPod is the biz. I have not tried any of the others but don't have a need to. It's pretty kick ass and does everything I want it to. I used to use Presto for fast playback and now it's native to the app. The dev regularly updates the app. Look no further than what you already have. It's preferences may seem overwhelming but for us geeks it's the shit!
G+_Matt Plovan
Craig Lambert accelerated play back is not native. I clicked it and it took me to a $5 plugin I would have to buy. Jeremy Haas smart playlist doesn't seem to work for me. I have one podcast that I prioritize lower than all the rest so currently am about 14 episodes behind on that one. So it is not always oldest to newest listening for me
G+_Craig Lambert
Matt Plovan It may not be in the official release yet. I run the betas. Previous to this you had to run Presto. It's no longer required. Here are the beta release notes: http://www.beyondpod.mobi/android/BETA/ If you click on view all changes you'll see it's part of 3.1.17 and newer. G+_Craig Lambert
Smart Playlists should work. I'm not exactly sure how you have it setup but I have a daily podcast (TWiT's TNT) that I prioritize to the top of my list. Unless you clear the list it will play after what you are currently listening to. I also enjoy the option to auto delete the podcast after listening to it. Saves me the hassle. G+_Matt Plovan
Craig Lambert I see that smart playlists will work. It just will take some setup with the 17 podcasts I listen to. At first it looked like you could set categories only (didn't scroll far enough).
G+_Jeremy Haas
Matt Plovan you can download the beta version in the app for native speed up. The current beta is a release client so it will be available to the masses soon. Not sure what you mean on the smartplaylist not working. Do what works for you but from my experience with every podcast player out there, beyond pod is the best.
G+_Matt Plovan
For someone who has never purchased an app (not even iOS) 6.99 is a lot of money when pocketcast is 3.
G+_Craig Lambert
Every app isn't for every person. If the other app suits your needs, get it. Don't be afraid to buy apps though. Reward the devs with cash. :)
