G+_Mike Lipson
Very excited for the DIY Sonos episode! Not sure if it'll address this, but I'm looking for an inexpensive way to stream audio from my iPad to a speaker. I want to be able to move the iPad around the kitchen while I'm cooking, doing dishes, etc. without it being tethered to the speaker with a short audio cable. Considered an Airport Express, but there's got to be a cheaper way.
G+_iyaz akhtar
Mike Lipson A bluetooth speaker might be the best way to do that for you. (That's what I keep in my kitchen).
G+_Mike Lipson
That's pretty much what I had in mind; just haven't started looking for them yet. I actually already have something similar to this (http://amzn.to/13kK5j4) in the kitchen; I just need a way to get wireless audio to it. A friend recommended this bluetooth audio receiver (http://bit.ly/ijD0XE), but I haven't really looked into it yet.
G+_iyaz akhtar
Mike Lipson Haven't tried that Monoprice one (although, I kind of wish I had). I have a Logitech one that delivers pretty good quality audio. I tried the cheaper Belkin one and was very disappointed. G+_Mike Lipson
Ooh, that looks nice, I'll consider that one too. One the reviews mentions a mod that increases the range, that might be a cool project. Thanks!

G+_Mike Lipson
iyaz akhtar Michael Kane I'm actually interested in the RPi as a game console emulator. I've seen some interesting projects recently where people soldered together connectors for SNES controllers using Adafruit kits.

G+_Daniel Rector
iyaz akhtar looking forward to photo management/organization - especially involving home server or NAS setups. (I used to use Picasa on the local system and liked it - but it just doesn't work well with the pictures on a networked share)
