G+_iyaz akhtar
Hey, you guys are smart - can you stream audio content from one device to multiple devices simultaneously via DLNA? Everything I've seen says you can stream from one device to one device at a time.
G+_Sam Zick
Are you trying to listen to music and audiobooks throughout your house?
G+_Tom Gehrke
I'm going to say yes although I tested with video content (which I think would be harder). Plex Media Server running on a Mac Pro. Streamed the same video to an Xbox 360, PS3 and my smart TV simultaneously.
G+_Sam Zick
Tom Gehrke, that's easy enough, but what he might need is the ability to stream the same content, so he could walk around his house and enjoy the same experience from room to room

G+_Tom Gehrke
Maybe something like BubbleUPnP Server would do the trick? http://www.bubblesoftapps.com/bubbleupnpserver/ This issue isn't so much the streaming to multiple devices, it's keeping things in sync between them given differences in latency and renderers. At least as far as I understand things based on my limited research.
G+_iyaz akhtar
Thanks Tom Gehrke - I'm running into this issue as well.
G+_Linvydas L
Well if you don't need to control playback of audio or video, which you intend to watch, you can use VLC as streamer (http://www.wikihow.com/Use-VLC-Media-Player-to-Stream-Multimedia-to-Another-Computer) and Serviio as DLNA server (Serviio supports online streams, audio, video), so you can add stream created with VLC to Serviio. So this will be familiar to TV, you can watch it, but you can't control the playback.
G+_Chad Ewan
If you wanted to remotely control vlc you could use the vlc remote app on the iOS App Store. I've never used them but if you are streaming from VLC I don't see why it wouldn't work.
