"they" say 6 channel.  I'd opt for 7+  Adds in future options, like rockets, machine guns, dropping propaganda, etc. :)

But more seriously, camera tilt/panning, retractable landing gear, parachute, etc.

I run a Futaba T10J.  But there are plenty, and seem to be almost like a religion with some folks.

You guys are thinking small - 18 channels is the way to go..

Built in camera.... :)

Yours for only 3000.00

But seriously I picked up the first suggested TX unit that Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ had talked about the Fly Sky FS-T6 and for the price it seems like a pretty nice unit. But with everything you get what you pay for...

I would put it this way.. in photographer terms.. your camera is only as good as your lens...

I would say buying a decent transmitter gets you many things the cheaper models do not have or do not do as well.. Like precision controls..
