G+_T. J. Sexton
Just got to listen to last week's episode. While Gina Trapani remains one of my very favorite and most trusted observers of tech trends, as someone who makes a point of using multiple platforms to inform my opinion, I admittedly found her perspective extraordinarily biased in the direction of Google's "official" position. My observation: Whatever Google's latest strategy, it's finally starting to improve the longstanding "fragmentation" problem. Gina's take: Android's fragmentation problem is "largely resolved." (?!?!) My observation: Android updates seem to be rolling out faster, especially to "friendly" audiences like Motorola's users. Gina's take: Android updates now taking only "several days." (!!) My observation: iOS's new "interactive notifications" nearly mimic options available to Android users for some time, but being able to reply in real time is a big improvement. Gina's take: Nothing here Android users haven't had for years! (?!?!) With all due respect, Gina (and "due respect" means you're one of the people I trust the very most), don't you think you should at least attempt to be familiar with both platforms before you throw your well-deserved reputation behind one or the other?? G+_T. J. Sexton
But... Gina Trapani I'm 100% with you about the Chromecast! I use it so almost-daily and enough to forget about my Apple TV completely!
G+_Jerry Ham
I had noticed - and agreed - with those same points.
