G+_Aye Mossum
I've been trying to get an idea of how long an Arduino can run on batteries. I'm trying to get an idea of how many launches I can get on my rocket flight recorder I'm building. Over 20 hours on this (just running a blink sketch) with a 1200mAh battery so far. My recorder will be running on a 130mAh. Anyone know how much juice a microsd card uses?
G+_Aye Mossum
BTW I'll be running at 3.3v and I plan to use a ProMini with the power LED desoldered.
G+_Taylor Graham
the atmega probably uses >1ma. With everything else on the board, including the LED, maybe 20-30ma.
G+_Aye Mossum
Stopped operating after about 24 hours. My estimate based in the 1200 mAh battery is roughly a 50mA draw. I'll try the experiment again with my ProMini and the sensors I'll be using. I hope to get a couple hours of solid use on my 130mAh battery.
