Hi,

I'm thinking about a project using an Arduino with a Smartthings shield combined with an Amazon Echo to make a voice activate coffee maker.

Does anyone have past experience and/or thoughts to share? The project is still in my head, so no firm decisions have been made.

While daydreaming thought of doing something similar then came to the conclusion for this truly to be automated the water would have to fill controlled by some sort of liquid level switch and temperature via sensor. Coffee ground then dropped into hopper via other controls. Then finally alerting me that it was done via wifi. That would be some coffee maker.

There is also a voice recognition shield for arduino, if that helps. I have an SMS controlled coffee machine..
