G+_Ken H
In the last AAA Ron Richards?? mentioned having some type of timeout for Google Wallet & the Walgreen's kiosk. All I could find in the Wallet app was this setting but it seems like more than enough time to perform a transaction. I haven't had issues at Walgreen's either. They even have kiosks now saying Android Pay on them & no longer Google Wallet. They are one of the easiest out of the few stores that support contactless payments in my opinion. ? G+_Anibal Perez
The essay I understood it the terminal also had a short timeout, should test it, but it's late now
G+_Derek Duncan
I use Apple pay now. Zero problems. Hope Google does it like apple here.
G+_Paul Werner
Derek Duncan as far as I can tell it's just as easy with no issues & has been since before Apple Pay was even a thing
G+_Chris Zedlitz
I use wallet often. On once and works. Android pay should make it just the same as some newer phones coming with finger print readers also.
G+_L I
Paul Werner I think the issue was the time to unlock the phone then put in the Wallet PIN after the tap. What I usually do is unlock the phone and get into Wallet while I'm in line then when I tap the phone I only have to wait for Wallet to get the token - which takes long enough. G+_Paul Werner
Lionel D Makes sense, I usually go into Wallet in line too because tapping and then it asking for the pin is a bit backwards in my head though I've done it just to try it out
G+_Derek Duncan
Paul Werner Hasn't been for me. Tap with Nexus, have to type in PIN, wait. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. With Apple Pay I just tap and press my finger to the home button to confirm. I hope Android Pay works like Apple Pay.
G+_Paul Werner
Derek Duncan yeah once they have fingerprint reading baked into the OS it should work the same as what you say. I normally put in the PIN before I'm even at the register so I can just tap and pay.
G+_Derek Duncan
Paul Werner yea I think the fingerprint built-in will be huge.
G+_L I
Derek Duncan it won't work exactly like Apple Pay unless they go away from Host Card Emulation - which sadly I've not seen anything to suggest that they will
