Already audio is tweaked; friendly techs add just a touch of reverb to make a candidate sounds more authoritative and unfriendly techs nudge the audio out of sync to make the candidate seem "off". Also, any candidate/representitve/whatever would hard pressed to pass up any potential advantage. Image is king. Think of the first televised debates and the use of makeup.
