G+_Robert Hafer
I have s high quality problem. I was just given a used M3D Micro 3D printer along with several spoils of filament; a nice way to get started and very generous. However, the power supply wasn’t in the box. Any KITAs out there that own who can give me the specs on the power supply? The connector looks generic so I just need Voltage, Amperage, and pin configuration so I can buy a replacement. G+_Andrew Angell
This is a really funny coincidence. I just received a used M3D printer two days ago with no power supply. The info I was able to track down was 5volts, 4amps, positive tip. I didn't have an appropriate adapter around so I connected up a 5v line from an old ATX power supply. Seems to be running fine. Also just a side note. The DC connector sizes I found for the M3D said 5.5mm outside diameter 2.1 inside, but I had to use one with a larger inside diameter than that. Not sure of its exact measurement though.
G+_Ben Reese
m.banggood.com - External BEC UBEC 5A 5V-30V Receiver Power Supply Sale - Banggood Mobile Bangood has lots of 5v 3A UBECs, but I find a few that supply up to 5 A. If you can find the right connector to plug into the printer, I suspect any laptop power supply should be able to work with this. Disclaimer: I have very little experience with this method of powering things. YMMV.
