G+_Fred Guarneri
In Linux mint, how do you copy text from an application into terminal session like putty etc. Thanks for all that you do.
G+_Will O'Meara
Copy like normal and paste into terminal with Ctrl+shift+v
G+_Taylor Graham
I haven't had mint installed in a while, but in putty when you highlight the text it's automatically copied. I believe its the same in most terminal applications. Thats how it works in the distro im currently using. In windows you have to right click and select "mark" to highlight the text, but then its automatically copied, so that could also be the case. Give it a try. G+_Travis Hershberger
Pure terminal session copy/paste is a simple highlight and middle mouse button press to paste the highlighted area. In an application you might have to right-click -> copy -> terminal window menu edit -> paste. Or just ctrl+shift+v like Will O'Meara said. G+_Will O'Meara
Ctrl+Shift+v doesn't work? I use that all the time on linux mint 15 to paste in the terminal. What terminal emulator are you using?

G+_Fred Guarneri
With my windows laptop, I would have a spreadsheet with all configuration. Needed for a switch. I would simply select all the text then control c then change to teraterm then control v. I tried this with mint and putty, openssh I just can't get it to work. G+_Fred Guarneri
I finally figured this out, I installed clipit. Now I have the same functionality as I did with windows.
