G+_Lance Pelissier
Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ Using that candle holder for the bubbler was an super idea since city's will change church's to pick up that glass for recycling so your doing them an fever by finding new use for those holders. G+_Shooter_FPV (Shooter_FP
Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ So what do you do, just go to any church to see if they have any votive holders that they are getting rid of? I feel kinda weird doing that... but maybe this Sunday I'll try... G+_Ben Reese
Ken Jancef you can probably narrow it down by denomination at well. Not all denominations burn candles as part of the worship service. It's more of a Catholic tradition, but close spin-off denominations (like Lutheran or Methodist) may practice some of the same rituals. Hindu or Buddhist temples may be good sources as well? And a lot of hospitals have a Chapel that tries to cater to all religions, so that may be another place to check. Also, most churches should have someone avaliable to answer the phone throughout the week. So if you don't feel comfortable about going on Sunday, you can probably call on Monday. G+_Todd Pike
Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ What is the OD measurement of the votive holder you used? Knowing the size will help in my mods to fit my own holders. Also, thanks so much for a great Tinker file. So nice to ungroup the pieces so I can modify to fit my own holders. tl;dr part I have been trying to modify the candle cap to fit 3, sadly, different votive holders. I see that the cap has a series of ridges on the inside. I assume that is to keep the cap snug while still making it easy to press onto the holder. I'm on my second test print of just the ridges which with a brim acts like a cap but prints much faster. Thinking it needs to be snug so it doesn't float up when bubbles stick to the cylinder. If not then it makes my mods much easier. ;)
