G+_Heath Reeder
So i got my monoprice maker select plus, and did a print with the filament that came with it, but having trouble with the hatchbox filament i got, idd a print and came back and no print was there, i have checked for jams, i did notice it looked like the wheel was trying to push filament thru but it wasnt going, there was a wore spot on the side. i have another one going now, so we shall see but i dont feel like it is coming out again, its just doing the matt part now. thanks for any tips
G+_Black Merc
Temp settings too low for that type of material... Verify the type. Else filament may be wrong size(not making to hot-end).
G+_Giligain I.
• from your description of the problem, I would first verify hotend temp & or increase the heat to make the plastic flow. I would assume this to be the bottleneck to fix.
G+_Shooter_FPV (Shooter_FP
I have the exact printer, and use Hatchbox exclusively. I set hotend at 210, and plate at 55, and have printed fine 99% of the time. Those are my go-to settings. What is your printer set at?
G+_Heath Reeder
Ken Jancef ok, the last try i upped it to 200 ill go on up to 210, i think the first round was lower, thanks for all the help]
G+_Shooter_FPV (Shooter_FP
I also did the Micro-Swiss mods, but I printed at 210/55 way before the mods. Give it a try and report back...
G+_Dan Halpert
I have occasionally not inserted the filament far enough into the head for it to feed. Taking it back out and trimming an inch or two off to get rid if the flat spot and really firmly putting it back in place did the trick for me. G+_Shooter_FPV (Shooter_FP
Heath Reeder The hotend mod helps you print with filament that requires a higher temperature. The stock hotend has a PTFE tube in it to guide the filament, but there is a danger of it melting if your tems get too high. The Micro-Swiss mod is all metal so you can safely print at a higher temp. store.micro-swiss.com - All Metal Hotend with SLOTTED Cooling Block for Wanhao i3 – Micro Swiss Online Store
