G+_Raymond Larabee Jr.
There is one problem with YUMI that no one seems to let everyone know about. YUMI can't be booted from UEFI.
G+_Bob Carroll (Gooplusplu
Raymond Larabee Jr. That would seem to be a valid point. https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Syslinux#Limitations_of_UEFI_Syslinux It looks like there may be a workaround but I have not tried it. http://www.syslinux.org/wiki/index.php/Install#UEFI
G+_Raymond Larabee Jr.
Bob Carroll In the case of YUMI, I don't believe that syslunux is the problem. The main problem I've found is that the grub bootloader isn't the correct version. To get UEFI support, you need to be at least on grub version 2. For me, I have a little bit of a long way around the problem. I boot from an Ubuntu Linux DVD and install something called MultiSystem on that live DVD. That gives me the ability to download and install quite a few versions of Linux and it'll boot on any system regardless of BIOS or UEFI.
G+_Bob Carroll (Gooplusplu
Raymond Larabee Jr. I will check to see if an old private email address for Pendrivelinux.com still works and contact PDL for suggestions and verification. G+_Bob Carroll (Gooplusplu
An alternative direct download (Google Drive) link is now active. However, bittorrent download is still recommended (more reliable and usually faster). Direct download may be faster for those with high speed FIOS or Google Fiber accounts. 5GB direct download http://www.gooplusplus.com/download-2015-lite-speed Bittorrent download http://www.gooplusplus.com/torrent-1-2015-lite-speed
