Bob Carroll In the case of YUMI, I don't believe that syslunux is the problem. The main problem I've found is that the grub bootloader isn't the correct version. To get UEFI support, you need to be at least on grub version 2.

 

For me, I have a little bit of a long way around the problem. I boot from an Ubuntu Linux DVD and install something called MultiSystem on that live DVD. That gives me the ability to download and install quite a few versions of Linux and it'll boot on any system regardless of BIOS or UEFI.

An alternative direct download (Google Drive) link is now active. However, bittorrent download is still recommended (more reliable and usually faster). Direct download  may be faster for those with high speed FIOS or Google Fiber accounts.
