I'm making my raspberry pi into a personal hotspot and whenever I type /etc/udhcpd.conf I get permission denied. Yes I have done the install command to install the software. What am I doing wrong? Here's the link to what im doing. http://elinux.org/RPI-Wireless-Hotspot

A .conf file isn't executable. It is a configuration file.

Joe Phelps I know that, but there is no /etc/ on my pi when I go into the GUI, but in terminal, it shows up. That's the way I planned on editing it.

Try sudo nano /etc/udhcpd.conf in the command line.

610bob yeah I tried that after I did some research. It worked. After I went through all the steps I saw my wifi adapter wasn't supported anyways. :(
