Issues with ASUS AC2400

Issues with ASUS AC2400. I have been having issues with this router for sometime where PORT 1 has issues assigning DHCP to devices connected to it. A switch, desktop, anything really after sometime devices that are connected to it can't get proper network credentials. I have to do a reboot of the router usually and then reboot the devices to get them to come back online. All the firmware updates have been done, I have also swapped out the router twice already. Still the same issue. Does anyone else have issues like this? I do work in IT but this issue is baffling. I have researched some online but have not found much help. Ports 3-4-5 seem to be ok but PORT 1 seems to be the issue. Under LAN-Switch Control I disabled NAT Acceleration and it seemed to help a little but not sure if that would cause the issue. NAT acceleration just makes loading webpages faster.

So you are on the third AC2400 with the same port having the same issue?  Somehow I think its not the router.

On each new router, you put the same default device in port 1 at first try?

You also don't mention port 2 (typo?)

ssh/telnet into it and poke around.  Especially when the issue is about.

Have you tried doing manual IP reservation for the MAC plugged into port 1?

You also haven't stated if you changed the cable.
