G+_Talky
Hey padre and Hy In your last episode you mentioned that sudo is for giving you root access, that is true but there is a better way to use it,if you type sudo su in the terminal it will give you reeo access for the entire terminal session,it can be used by begginers but the must use it with caution. Also a vm uses a lot of RAM and you shoud warn begginers in the next episode because to run a vm at a decent speed you will need at least 4GB of RAM and a fairly new processor
G+_Brandon Ingli
Talky . This is EXACTLY what Padre was advising against by telling viewers to use sudo.
G+_Talky
You can NOT gain root privileges without sudo on linux, using sudo su is the same as using only sudo, using sudo su is not so dangerous in fact it slightly more than only sudo but unlike sudo, sudo su gives you root access for the entire terminal session and only sudo gives you access only for one command
G+_Brandon Ingli
Talky . which is what makes it so dangerous!!

G+_Brandon Ingli
Please remember that the target audience of these tips are those who are new to Linux. Using sudo for each command is safer than being su for any period of time.
