Servos vs. Steppers... Great show! Steppers are great when servos just don't have the juice to get the job done. You talk a lot about "pulsing" the lines to the stepper, and that's a bit misleading. Steppers need a constant voltage to the poles to keep them where you want them. Also a small calculation error: 2000 us = 2 ms, which means 1 ms is half the stated minimum. However, the comment on the speed line says it's in seconds, not milliseconds, so that may be where the disconnect happened.

 

I was hoping you'd talk more about torque ratings and gear ratios, like how to choose them for a project. Maybe next episode? Can't wait!
