G+_Kevin Wandtke
Really serious issue .. well .. potentially. Earlier this year purchased a Nexus5 .. great phone .. love it .. but one thing is not working. It is not registered as a device. I can pull down apps from the phone but can not push from the play store .. the bigger issue is I go to ADM to do a find my phone and nothing .. My N7 is there .. my MotoX.. thats a work phone but I signed in with G account to get some apps .. even my old G2 which was also a work phone before the Motox. I got as far one time as calling Google .. the guy had no idea what the problem was so he said he'd have level 2 (or whatever he called them) call me and that never happened (maybe that python script was offline?). I love Google but lets face it .. customer service sucks .. and you have to wonder if they care at all. N5 is a great phone at a great price but if you don't have to support it ..... maybe the price is understandable. I do not like Apple but as my son-in-law pointed out he would have gone into the Apple store by now and gotten it fixed .. and I have to say he is most likely right. Any of you have any idea what I might do to get this working? I sorta feel like this is a feature that was sold to me and I did not get .. any other company I would be talking to Customer service to get it fix .. oh wait .. ya ... none of that at Google.. G+_Mark Stronge
Do you have a single Google account registered to your phone? Check in the settings. Have you tried a factory reset? Basic genius guy stuff.?
G+_Victor Chavez
I had that happen to my N5 as well. I had flashed an updated (factory stock) ROM and was having the same issue. Tried everything and eventually reset the device. It immediately showed up as a registered device and never had the problem again.
G+_Mark Stronge
Saying that there is no customer service at Google? Maybe you should try Google.com/support where you can call them if you want.
G+_Karl Gaudian
It's a problem I've seen before & the only lt way around it (To my knowledge) is to perform a factory reset & start again
G+_Mark Stronge
Karlos Theodore Jackal and that's the most basic simple thing to do on a nexus too. All contacts are backed up, WiFi backed up. Really just game saves that may not be? if the developer hasn't enabled Google Play games support
G+_Karl Gaudian
Mark Stronge It is easy to do but still it takes time to set up a handset how you want it etc & there's lots of things that get lost if not careful. Hell, even with all my years experience with Mobile Phones (I repair them for a living) I still make mistakes & always forget to back something up when I reflash my handset. G+_Mark Stronge
For stock, it's not too painful.
