G+_Jimmy Scott
This weeks episode covered removal of SMS from Hangouts. Like Jason Howell I have been using Hangouts but there are other options. Ron Richards has mentioned Textra and WhatsApp, are there any obvious pros or conns that should be considered in selecting an SMS replacement? G+_Zulhaimi Abdul Hamid
Android Messages is the default sms app. Whatsapp would only be useful if everyone around you uses it.
G+_Jimmy Scott
I will take a look at Signal. The encryption part is not as important, as I assume most of my contacts will be using other applications so that feature won't kick in. I am really most interested in a clean and uncomplicated design, ability to support messaging sent from other apps (I occasionally get MMS errors that a message won't download, I believe from iPhone users), future support for RCS would be good.
