G+_Joshua Delaughter
I recently got an FPV kit. The Fatshark Attitude V2 kit comes with a power filter, and while I know I can plug it into my main battery, I'd rather just get a separate battery for the Camera and vTX. What are some of the guidelines for choosing a battery for FPV gear? Are there any formulas for figuring out Video flight times? I was looking toward the Lumenier 1300mAh 3s pack, but I'm not sure if it's overkill or not, Lumenier also has a 2s 1000mAh pack that is half the weight. G+_Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ
Go with the lighter pack. Plug it in on the ground, along with a battery alarm on the balance plugs (so you don't run it down too far) and see how long you can go. Unlike the main battery, the draw on the FPV battery will be a constant, so you'll get a good runtime estimate. I use a 3s 1000mAh for my FPV setups... and that single battery usually lasts me an entire days flying.
G+_Joshua Delaughter
Awesome, thanks again. Oh, and did you ever publish the file for your 3D printed fpv caddy? If so, any plans to publish it on Thingiverse?
