iyaz akhtar Thanks for the episode on making a home studio. You all talked about the audio in, ie the mic. What about the audio out?. I see people with huge headsets which make them look like they are sportscasters. Then I also see people using just normal earpods, but makes them look like they are listening to their iPods. Can you recommend something less noticeable and which I can plug into my computer? Thanks.

I think Leo Laporte and some other hosts often use in ear monitors such as the Ultimate Ears brand from logitech. These are supposed to be more accurate in sound reproduction and stay out of the way better but are also way more expensive. Otherwise you might look for less expensive ear buds that can wrap around the back of the ear to better stay out of the way.

I think it really depends on the environment that you are in to determine which set of headphones you want to wear.

Also comfort is a factor (at least for me) because if you are in your studio a lot, and are using something for a long time, then something like Leo's AKG's are nice to wear.

Also, are you a person who needs to hear him or herself when recording or broadcasting? Then comfort WITH sound quality may matter more to you
