G+_Carlton Dodd
Believe it or not, this works! I had a spare 5.8GHz transmitter & camera, so I decided to see if I could fit it inside my trusty Syma X5SC. I had to add a boost converter to up the voltage from the 1S LiPo, but it works! I took it for a test flight, and it still handles pretty well. I think the total addition was about 20-25g, after taking off the stock camera. Yes, I know they make a plug-in FPV camera / monitor sets, but I couldn't find one in stock. I may actually pull all this out if I end up finding one. Right now, I'm designing a mount for my cheapo FPV monitor setup to clamp onto the Syma transmitter. Good times!
G+_Larry Havenstein
actually the Syma X5SC can carry quite a bit of weight. Is a cool hack.
