G+_Neil Carmichael
Whenever I go to shopping malls, there are always helium balloons on a stuck high-up ceiling somewhere, what would be the most effective way for a drone to get them down? I thought adding a ducted fan to grab them with a partial vacuum, I don't think its something I'd do, just an intellectual challenge. What would the challenges be? G+_Carlton Dodd
As a clean-up, or for retrieval? Clean-up is easy, if you can burst the balloons. Retrieval would be quite a bit more difficult and, unless you're performing an immediate service for small children, I can't think of a need. G+_Jason Marsh
Wayne Hobbins You know, I think Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ could have fun with that idea. Imagine a quad battle arena with tethered hydrogen balloons, where your goal is to down your opponent with dogfighting directly or by igniting a balloon under them. Robot wars meets quadcopter arena of death!
G+_Neil Carmichael
I have seen video of people bursting balloons with a uv laser pen, but it requires something black on the balloon to absorb the energy, so how about a drone battlebot arena full of black balloons and drones with frickin' lasers

G+_Black Merc
Quad with a nail on a stick and a POV camera for targeting... simple and effective. Battle bots idea... go for it! Hydrogen filled balloons and a mini blowtorch. People like watching things go boom... ex. fireworks
G+_Steve C
I think an air rifle would work better than a drone.

G+_Eddie Foy
I have an air rifle with a silencer. It doesn't hide the immense noise of the rifle's action.
