G+_Mike Hathaway
So I am planning to run a quad copter beginner class at my adult ed. Was wondering if any one has run into issues with 30 people using quad copters in close proximity (we have a football stadium and will take turns) not the obvious hitting each other but remotes conflicting. I have no way to test the scenario beyone a few quads before the class runs. I am brand new to this, and will be practicing with the Syma for a couple months before we run the class. We are basing the skills on The know how video from december. I am also looking for as much input as possible before this thing runs some time in may. G+_Eddie Foy
avoid the 'drone' nomenclature. Make it more 'toy' oriented. Drone isn't not public friendly.

G+_Mike Hathaway
Hey I could use a lot of ideas for the "Dont do this" portion of the classroom part. Especially if there is video or photos. Where going to re-enforce the copters ala know how. before flying.
G+_Conan Mills
I would suggest doing your test/learning flights as a beginner and see how much space you will need. Then you can adjust the number of quads you can safely fly at one time. At the end of the day it needs to be run safely so error on the side of caution. Also, do a good survey of the area for active flight paths. Is this stadium near an airport? Are there helicopters that fly near the area on a regular basis? You may good intentions for the class, all it takes is one ticked off pilot of a full size aircraft to ruin your day.
G+_Mike Hathaway
I have a high school football stadium or larger soccer field. I am thinking 8 at a time, we are going to keep things below the goal posts. The intent is to stay close to the ground controlled and slow. The end of the class the hope is to do a course around a few traffic cones and under a couple track hurdles.
G+_Rob Yesta
Need to check the limit on number of users with Syma transmitter
G+_Wayne Black
This is an interesting question. So far I've found out that two people flying at the same time would have to stay about 20' or more apart. Any closer and the TX's signals begin interfering with each other. Obviously, you would have to paint the quads with contrasting colors so people could identify theirs, but I'm thinking in a large soccer field, you might get away with flying 6 or 8 at the same time. You might have better results by having two or three brands instead of all Symas. Maybe some JJRC H5C or H8C with some Syma X5s.
