G+_Adam EL-Idrissi
Does anyone know of a rackmount case that can hold two mini itx boards, two 3.5 drives and a ssd? Ive got a 3.5-2.5 adapter for the ssd.I've searched with Google and they're either way too expensive or no longer made.
G+_Travis Hershberger
That's getting into the really esoteric stuff. Thought about cobbling together one of your own? If you happen to have a couple mini itx cases about with removable motherboard trays it might not be to hard.
G+_Adam EL-Idrissi
I saw this 9u server cabinet on eBay( http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=351191843901&alt=web ) and was trying to save space with everything in it. I thought about getting a 2u case off eBay and going off pictures I've seen. Have two thin PSU in the middle on the back then the mb on either side and drives in the front with most likely a custom/modified bracket. Going to check craigslist too. If I go with this cabinet, still debating on a rack or shelves, would I need a rackmount power strip or would a belkin regular power strip do fine? G+_Travis Hershberger
Adam EL-Idrissi So, are you looking for a rack to put two cases in, or one case for two mini itx boards (what I originally thought from your question)?
G+_Adam EL-Idrissi
One case for two motherboards. Similar to this( http://www.servercase.com/CK2270-r.jpg).
G+_Travis Hershberger
I haven't seen something like that in a long, long time. The closest off the shelf thing we have today are blade servers like Dell's C6220 http://www.servermonkey.com/refurbished-dell-poweredge-c6220-12-port-w-2-nodes.html
