G+_Adam EL-Idrissi
I found a HP 1800-24G manged switch for $70 shipped. I'm looking for a second managed switch for my network.mainly curious how people feel about hp switches for those that actually have used them. My current sitch is essentially the same specs and this would be a gret affordable addition if its not crap.
G+_Akira Yamanita
While I like the fully managed switches, I'm not a fan of the web only switches. That said, I haven't had any performance issues to note. I just don't like the actual management of the switches in both configuration and troubleshooting. The warranty is hard to beat. G+_Travis Hershberger
I've gone to all HP Smart switches at work. 2910-18 x2, 2920-10 x6. Just having a managed switch I can look at on a monitoring dashboard has saved me so much time it's been worth the few extra dollars to get the managed variety. The fact that I have them all connected via LAGs now and I can run a backup without bringing the rest of the network to a halt is a bonus. Can't beat the lifetime warranty, and the price just makes Cisco look silly (sorry Cisco, you've got real nice gear, but it's not made out of gold). G+_Jason Marsh
This worries me. I don't want cannibal network equipment... http://www.barnesandnoble.com/p/zyxel-communications-inc-es3124pwr-network-24pt-managed-poe-switch/1108426633/2684904150757?st=PLA&sid=BNB_DRS_Marketplace+Shopping+Home+Gift_00000000&2sid=Google_&sourceId=PLGoP13074&k_clickid=3x13074
