G+_Adam EL-Idrissi
Are there any 2u or 4u shirt depth (22" or less) cases that can handle an extended atx(12x13) motherboard? Hard drive capacity requirements are 3(two 3.5,1 2.5). Other than that anything else is just a bonus.? also, I know I've asked before but didn't really get an answer but I need a standard psu that can handle dual xeons(24 main pin and two 8pin for the cpu(1 for each cpu)

G+_610GARAGE
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811123178&cm_re=4u_case-_-11-123-178-_-Product That can handle EATX, it uses atx psu, and it is 21 inches long. I don't know what to suggest for a psu, except go big. :)
G+_Adam EL-Idrissi
Jason howe did that. Didn't find anything I liked that wasn't way too expensive.
G+_Jason howe
you aren't trying to mount a standard tower in rack are you?? generally you need to but a server chassis that is rack mountable and a gator case or similar to case to mount it in grow a brain you are running a server mainboard you will have limited mounting option is going to limited
G+_Adam EL-Idrissi
Jason howe woah there. First off, post says 2u or 4u so obviously server case. Second, there are tower cases that support eatx I looked at and they support this size board (server or consumer, doesn't matter). Server boards are in some workstations as well. I would like to rack mount this build that's why I asked but putting it in a tower works just as well for my purposes.
G+_Adam EL-Idrissi
The reason I said way too expensive is I don't feel at $200+ case is justifiable for my use case.
G+_Jason howe
why bother posting crap then
G+_Larry Havenstein
All server cases are expensive from my experiance. Not sure why unless they just produce enough to amortize the cost down.
G+_610GARAGE
Larry Havenstein I find that anything that contains the word "server" or "enterprise" is usually way more expensive. I think its partly because they can and partly because there generally better quality. Even the cheap server rack cases I have, use fairly heavy gauge metal. Adam EL-Idrissi I would suggest getting a somewhat decent server case. Shipping isn't cheap and they don't go bad. I find that CHENBRO is a decent low cost server case. I have 3 of their cases. There not a supermicro, but they work fairly well.
G+_Jason howe
First all all I gave the option for a transport case for the server case, then I realise you looking both a server chassis and a transport case.. 1-4 u or 1-4 ru is the same thing, though come list I as 1-4 u and others use the correcting terminology which is 1-4 ru,...
