G+_Adam EL-Idrissi
Has anyone ever used a hdmi over Ethernet setup?
G+_Akira Yamanita
It's technically not HDMI over Ethernet but yes, we've used HDMI over Cat 5e and Cat 6. The adapters tend to be cheaper than the HDMI cables longer than 3 meters, the cable is easier to run, and you can go up to 200' (in theory, I don't think that we've gone over 50' or so). G+_Adam EL-Idrissi
Good to know. I've got cat5e run around. Monoprice has a $18 adapter deal I was thinking about.
G+_Ben Reese
I use a Monoprice (pretty sure mine is monoprice) adapter to run VGA over Cat-5e. It calls for shielded cable, but my run is probably 130 ft and it works great.
G+_David Wiggins
Hmm, that could solve a significant problem for me. MS and spinal fusion have made regular desks a bit difficult to work with lately. The next thing I need is an articulated mount for a KVM to swing/hinge or something.
