G+_Aloysius Yong Wai Dak
Hello to all.. I would like to know do I save my Google photos to my synology Nas?
G+_Michael Hagberg
On drive.google.com, right-click the folder and choose "Download"... This will download one zip file with all files in it. accounts.google.com - Meet Google Drive – One place for all your files

G+_Ben Reese
Someone posted about their solution a few weeks ago... Step 1) enable the option to view Google Photos in Drive. Step 2) use Synology Cloud Sync to copy the photos from Google Drive. Step 3) profit.
G+_Aloysius Yong Wai Dak
Ben Reese thanks for the advice will try that. If I del the photo in Google photos will it be deleted on the NAS???
G+_Ben Reese
Cloud Sync has options to ignore deletes. I've got a Google account where I upload a 720p format of our church sermons. A NAS at church downloads the files. I delete them from G Drive after a month or two and the NAS keeps them.
G+_Aloysius Yong Wai Dak
OK Thanks for the advice.. G+_Ben Reese
Ah. My advice would be to switch to the "High Quality" with free unlimited storage. Then you can keep a backup of everything on Google Photos. I also like to keep the original copy though, so I use Folder Sync to backup from my phone to the computer/NAS when I'm home on Wi-Fi. I haven't tried it, but I think Synology has an app for syncing photos from your phone to NAS also.

G+_Ben Reese
Perhaps Google Takeout would be a faster source?
G+_Aloysius Yong Wai Dak
Google takeout I have never heard about that program before how does it work
G+_Ben Reese
Takeout is Google's process for exporting all the data they have about you. I believe it was created in case you wanted to close your account, but wanted to keep the data you've stored with them. Facebook offers a similar option.
