G+_Marcin Wisniowski
Home screen redesign We are trying to settle on a new design for the home screen on our app. We have a poll running to decide on which design we should use but for some reason Google+ will not let me share the poll here, so I am just linking the poll and posting pictures of the 2 mock-ups we are trying to decide between. Please vote and comment on the poll. Link to the Poll: https://plus.google.com/109247240301288482597/posts/JzearSp5qeR We are also giving away 2 invites to Google Inbox, check out one of our earlier posts on the Drvr page. #drvrapp #startup #poll
G+_Rakshak Raghavan
Hey Mike Callaghan, thanks for the feedback. Can you follow the link and vote in the Google+ poll please, it makes it easier for us to look at the results if they are all in the same place. Cheers. :)

G+_Rakshak Raghavan
HeCareth M. Wosu We took some of inspiration form dash and a few other apps, but unlike dash you will not need a $100 dongle to use Drvr and with social and global leaderboards and achievementst will be a lot more fun to use :)
G+_HeCareth M. Wosu
rakshak r That's cool, but you may be confusing Dash with Automatic. Dash can use an BT dongle cheapest being about $11 and has had the social features built in since the beginning. Competition is great, so the more of these apps the better, but I don't see a huge difference, and I think differentiation is key. This is taken from someone who has used Dash since February. G+_Rakshak Raghavan
Hey HeCareth M. Wosu we know the competition is great in this field and we are working hard to differentiate ourself from other apps in this field and give our drives a great user experience. We will be launching an open beta soon(ish), why dont you give the app a try and let us know what you think. We would love feedback from someone who is already using a similar app. What is your experience with Dash so far ?
G+_HeCareth M. Wosu
rakshak r I would definitely do that. Dash is nice, but it has it's quirks. The main issue is just making sure it connects. I actually have a OBDMX dongle so it is not just any cheap dongle but sometimes Dash connects late. In addition I hope you implement a Google sign on from the beginning, as Dash only did this later and it has just made it painful to merge accounts. Finally a web interface is key. Being able to actually open a browser and check your stats would be very nice. Yes it is a mobile app, but having a nice web interface will be something neither Dash or Automatic are doing. Also just keep your design fresh and clean. Dash did implement some weird design changes that were off. So try not to do too much crazy stuff. I honestly feel you should probably take some design cues from the Google Fit App as I think that design is ultimately the direction you want to go.
