G+_Mark Vogt
I'm a newbie to this forum and I really appreciate all the information on it. After starting a 3D print 24 hours ago I went to my backyard shop to check it this morning, this is what I found, it really sucks when your 3-D printer skip steps. I need to check the G code to make sure didn't slice funny either way I guess I'm starting over.
G+_Mark Vogt
Hi James I'm using a simple metal Printrbot with an extended X axis sliced it with Cura and the print is 10 x 6 x 6 printed it 100% Phil
G+_Eddie Foy
Is it turned on its side from print orientation? kinda looks like it. If so looks like the X or Y didn't move at one layer causing it to shift. (gotta love open loop, huh?)
G+_Mark Vogt
This was printed on the back that why you can see the supports on the bottom. Yes Eddie I agree with you I wish someone would make a closed loop 3-D printer system that wasn't 20 K, I guess having to reprint and pay a little more for filament justifies the low price of the printer. G+_Eddie Foy
Make sure the belts aren't too tight, and the ways are clean and lubed. Push by hand and make sure they run smoothly. (Don't push too fast, because you will backfeed the generated electricity. The drivers should protect from this, but its not a given)
